HEBRON - NOVEMBER 1996 Some 400 Jewish settlers live among 120,000 Palestinians in the West Bank city of Hebron. Events in this city have made it the symbol of Palestinian struggle for self-rule. The Oslo accords stipulated that the Israeli army would withdraw from 4/5ths of Hebron by March 28th, 1995.
